It sure cleans up nice. I wasn’t a huge fan of Ingot Silver at first, but it’s grown on me. It doesn’t sparkle quite as much as my Sonic did, but it’s got a nice metallic sheen

At some point I need to claybar the front bumper...little black specks everywhere

Ingot silver? My ST had so much rail dust when I got it. Problem with a lot of Ford’s.

My Sonic is Silver Ice Metallic. When it is clean, it sparkles.

Our Skoda is Brilliant Silver Metallic and she looks great in the sun, even when it’s dull or cloudy outside it still looks good. She’s going on Wednesday to be replaced with a Petrol Blue Metallic car.

For the black spots just get a good tar remover rather than risk inflicting any micro-marring of the paint. If you can get AutoFinesse ObliTARate. I’ve used it for three years, it’s great though there are some good tar removers out there.

For ‘rail dust’ use fallour remover and then rewash. Much safer for the car’s paint work.

Tiny metal particles from the brakes or just from wherever that settle on the paint and oxidize. Silver is pretty vulnerable to this. When you first see them you are like “Oh shit, my car is doomed”. But then you realise that those tiny rusty specs polish off quite easily.

I think the light colour is really helped by the creases. They stand out more and it makes the car look sharp.

Agreed. I like hand washing cars because you feel the design and appreciate it, and there was a lot to appreciate about the Mustang

I like Ingot Silver best at dusk when it catches all of the sunset colors:
